A separate Jeff Davis infill project composed as two duplex buildings for a total of four homes, using a shared drivecourt and a clear residential street presence.
Jeff Davis Quad is a separate project from the single-family Jeff Davis Residence. It is organized as two duplex buildings on one site, creating four homes with distinct entries and a coordinated overall composition.
The challenge
Four homes, parking, privacy, circulation, and neighborhood scale all had to be resolved on a compact urban site without letting the project read as a single oversized apartment building.
The design
The two-duplex arrangement uses a shared drivecourt to organize vehicle access while preserving a clearer residential street face. Repeated forms and materials tie the four homes together, while separate entries and articulated massing give each unit a recognizable identity.
